When embarking on its ‘Wireless Cloud’ project the University of Aberdeen wanted a cost-effective method that would offer the kind of bandwidth students demand.

The Solution

Utilising the local sewer network through H2O Networks’ Fibre Optical Cable Underground System, known as Focus System. A fast and cost-effective way to lay fibre optic cable and link up any location without the high costs and disruption caused by traditional cabling methods.

Results

• Communications infrastructure implemented in a fraction of the time taken by conventional methods.
• Cost effective high bandwidth to cope with student demands.
• Environmentally friendly communications network.
